One of our Sheffield clients currently has a number of vacancies for CNC Programmer / setter / operators and CNC setter / operators, for both turning and milling.

They’re looking for self-motivated “can do”  people to join a long-established but growing engineering business with a dynamic new management team. The company has ambitious growth plans, including investment in new plant and macinery,  and operates in the aerospace, nuclear, sub-sea, steelmaking, earthmoving, petrochemical and general enginering markets.

Successful candidates will earn £12 per hour plus shift premium, and must meet the following requirements:

  • knowledge and experience of machining nickel-based superalloys, inconels, duplex, super duplex and general engineering steels
  • knowledge and experience of Solidworks and Solidcam
  • experience of programming with FANUC controls
  • willing to work shift patterns to cover 24-hr operation

VACANCY FILLED – Production Engineer, North Yorkshire

RMS is looking to appoint a dynamic and talented individual as Production Engineer. RMS designs and manufactures specialist electrical connectors for use with Electrical Submersible Pumps used throughout the global oil industry.  The company is a subsidiary of James Fisher Group Plc.

The role is a largely hands-on position, reporting to the Production Manager.  The candidate must have skills/experience in mechanical design as well as knowledge of (or the ability to learn to use) CAD packages and it’s desirable to have good communication skills and good practical experience/knowledge.  It’s preferable for the candidate to hold an Honours degree in mechanical, production or similar engineering discipline.
